Its doable... really... so is a handgun only class. Doesnt make it a good class.

There are tons of videos on youtube of upperbody hitmarkers, i have a ****ton on my vids.

Teamwork. If someone is in trouble, you help them. Constant communication will give you information on where to look and who to shoot. I am taking S&D as a primary example where this tactic is used best as you save a team mate and eliminate a threat in one fair shot. Of the fifteen maps on disc, I can think of 6/7 maps that described snipers can be useful and productive and a good few of the DLC maps.

Ofc they can be productive.. but certainly not with your "STEALTHY" playstyle, there's just not enough open spaces, meaning you'll always be in the same spots. Take afgan for example, most of the time you'll find 3 or 4 snipers all on that cliff, or a few in the bunkers... its very predictable.

I must add that I love the ARs and SMGs and I only use the sniper in two/three maps. The only reason I use is it is for it's scope's range and the higher control on ammo. True, you may not need a scope if you have an insane HD tv, but it's nice to have.



It works. The main reason I want to buy a PVR is to show how this class can be effective. Yes, it is mainly S&D, but it wins more matches than loses them. Plus, it can be fun to use.

The main reason i said your class is laughable is the fact that you had a siliencer and coldblooded on, and with those semi auto snipers... what 3 shot kills ?? I really doubt that your winning SnD matches because of your class

Thumpers -"Noobtubes"- Grenade launchers will be disabled for the first 10 seconds of each match, this will cut out spawn rape....

Twirling around in the air like a fairy with a sniper riffle just looks stupid and silly...

Game will be much better off with out it and will get rid of a lot of kill cam glory hunters...

Hahaha, whereas Activision had it has the first unlock for ARs.

Good on them, snipers running around at the same speed as those carrying SMGs, with help from auto-aim and ridiculous ADS times is just as much a broken mechanic as M/L/C is.

The main arguments for not taking it out is 'but there are other broken game mechanics!' and 'you only hate it cos you don't do it!', neither of which holds much water with me.

Firstly, quickscoping isn't the only issue that Treyarch are dealing with.

Secondly, I don't think it takes any more skill to do successfully than running M/L/C with a tac knife does. Quickscoping is mostly about timing while M/L/Cing is about map knowledge and working out where the opposition are and where they're heading. In fact, apart from ONLYUSEmeBLADE, I can't think of (m)any regular knifing videos (and he doesn't even use L/C!

Meh, i donno about that really, i mean skill is all relative, something seperates the men from the boys, or else everyone would be running around like me and you wrecking public games Even with aim-assist, there are still quite large differences between a good players aim and a ****e players aim. I guess the main difference between good and bad players would just be general gamesense tho.

In real life, i would agree. But the maps in cod are so small and compact that its just not possible for snipers to do that.

I agree that the wannabes can be anoying... but sure if it wasn't sniping it would be something else... ****... half of them would probably be noobtubing.. i know which i would prefer.... and trust me, if you couldn't quickscope in MW2 the noobtubing would be twice as bad as it is now.

I dont get how people think its "Much easier" tho, AR's and SMG's are alot more powerful than in cod4 (At least with little experience i have with the game). The only thing thats changed is you can zoom faster and they are in general alot weaker (Unless you use stopping power). I mean i've played ALOT of GB games, surely if they're so easy to use and overpowered then most teams would have at least one sniper... i've only ever come across some1 sniping in GB once or twice and they were awful teams. Whereas in competitive cod4, every team has one sniper. I just dont buy the whole "Sniping is so easy" thinking that alot of people on boards seem to have.

dont get me wrong next month there will be a sh!tload of complaints about something or other, thats what happens when you have too many perks, too many loadouts.

I think thats it, the more **** you add to the game, the harder it is to balance. They might add 2 or 3 really good things, but theres no doubt they'll add some really ****ty things too Second chance springs to mind !

I never knew there was no autoaim with snipers on cod4, i'd only played the PC version. I dont get what you mean tho what your saying is its harder to rape people with the sniper on MW2 but its easier for the average joe to get kills with it because aiming isnt as difficult ?


My whole agrument is that sniping in mw2 is far less effective than most other classes (SMG'ers/AR's/LMG's), like hutch said in his video, any good sniper could simply wack on an SMG and will 9/10 times do better, both in terms of kills and objectives. Nerfing sniping by removing quickscoping and adding this random aim bull**** will make them even weaker (Compared to the other guns in the game), i know you could say but they're playing a roll... sitting back and picking off people, but really... you dont need a sniper to do that, the Scar/m16/famas/m4 are all equally as good at long distances imo and have the added bonus of being awesome at close ranges too. Fair enough.. alot of people don't like getting quickscoped, but removing it and not giving anything back in return isnt going to help balance the game.

And this is coming from someone that doesnt snipe that often, i am 100% a rusher so its not like my PoV is biased or anything, its just how i see it when i play the game.... hey... i like free kills
