Spelling of the word "lose"/"loose"...

    I mean, are you stupid?

Lose - means you don't win something
Loose - is the opposite of tight

Loads of people on boards, Facebook, Twitter etc, the Internet in general, don't understand the difference.

Even the Guardian gets it wrong - Detained mental health patients may loose out

Come on people. Learn to tell the difference between the two words. Until then, your opinion isn't worth a hat of brown to me.

Easy ways to remember correct usage.

Your mother has a loose vagina and needs to lose some weight.

I have a pair of jeans with a label that says "these jeans may loose colour when washed". It makes me angry anytime I see it.

Another thing that annoys me is when people say 'where' instead of 'were'. How is it possible for anyone over the age of five to get those words confused?

The spelling bandits, for the most part will be keeping quite on this one i'd imagine.
    Quiet the predicament.

I used to make that mistake.
This one time I was all like "STFU you looser"
They pointed out my spelling mistake so I replied:
"Only a loser would spot something like that you silly twat."

    True story.

The debate rages on about loose versus lose
How can you pick the correct one to choose?

If you mix the two up you will lose your dominion
over After Hours Threads, and Markesmith's opinion!

I teach Geography, and one first year student described a volcano as "Ex stinked".

I was tempted to ask what was she doing going out with a smelly boy, but I thought a) clearly that would go way over her head, and b) I was too busy crying at the lack of spelling skills of the youth of today
