VLC media player 64 bit problems

Hi All I upgraded my laptop to a new one which has Windows 7 64bit. I tried to download and install VLC media player. The current file is 1.14.32.exe. When I try to open file with it nothing happens. I have tried the VLC forums and they say the 32 bit version should work on 64 bit as well. Anyone else come across this…

i have 32bit version installed in my windows 7 64bit, no problems

Have you tried right clicking and run as administrator

If you can't getVLC to work, try using the 64 bit version of Media Player Classic - Home Cinema instead. I use it on a 64 bit Win 7 machine and it works perfectly for me.

I use Gom player my self as I find it the best
