Tesco Beer... Bump

Had to bump up the previous thread re Tesco Beer...

Was mulling over the 12 cans of Budweiser for €15 earlier and the good man told me they are now down to 12 cans for €10!!! - could not believe it so bought 3 x packs. 36 cans for €30..

This was in Tesco Dundrum and was lots there.

Before anyone asks, these are 500ml cans

I might be wrong, but don't Tesco have a policy of giving items to you for free if they're mispriced? You could have gotten free beer if so!

Either way, definite bargain - depending on the type of beer we're talking about of course.

How were they mispriced?

You get the item free if you are charged a higher price than the one on the sel.

Scanned as €10 - he was in process of marking them down. Don't worry - if they scanned as €15 I would have been a happy, and drunk, person.

Sorry - didn't check other brands; but likely others may be marked down too.

I have never gotten cans of Bud for that price!

Like I said, I might be wrong. From what you're saying it sounds like the misprice doesn't apply to items lowered in price. Makes sense - would have been quite cheeky if it did, I admit!

Thats the marked price now - 12 x 500ml cans of Budweiser for €10. Anyone familiar with Tesco Dundrum: the pallets at very end of main aisle were still marked €15 but down the aisles it was marked €10 and it scanned as €10. Guy was in process of marking down the pallets at back wall.

just had a look on the tesco site and it says that the 300ml are reduced to 10 so might be just a mistake he might of marked the wrong one down.

has anyone seen them anywhere else at that price??

Yup... The 330ml ones are marked as €10 and the 500ml are marked as €15

tesco made a mistake in the daily star ad yesterday and advertised 500ml cans 12 pack for €10 when they ment to do 330ml x 12 for €10...the fine print on this advert shows budweiser as €2.52 a litre which equaits back to 330ml cans. so it proves it WAS A MAJOR COCK UP!! but i was in 2 tescos in cork today and both had 500ml cans scanning at €10!!

No €10 in tesco longford.... €15 for 12 500ml heiniken... or €14.99 for 12 330ml cans of same!

Had the 12 big cans, till i saw the miller bottles 20 for €15 so did the math and took these instead!

Greedy me went back for more in Dundrum today... they have plenty of 12 x 500ml of Bud for €10...

Christmas is covered now:D - well November anyway

Cheers Paddy, just took 5 trays off their hands. 120 x 500ml cans for 100€. Definitely a steal. There was only 3 left but he was expecting delivery of 70 trays at midday. He seemed pretty sure that they would be the same price.

Hehe yep they do, I got a free crate miller off them as they where on sale for 15 and they charged me 20... Then some girl says ''ahh its a different box we cant give you it free'' but then another girl just gave me it because it's there policy..
