Netbook Users, I have a question

Need to get one of these to function as a house phone. But I'd like to know on average how good are these things with noise and heat? It's going to be running on A/C 24/7, so Im not worried about the battery or anything.

So long as they're not running anything too processor intensive they're grand imo. Im typing on a NC10 now and it's not hot at all, and it's quiet. If i start watching flash videos etc you'll hear the fan kick in and it will start to heat up. But that's to be expected.
