Name that flower/shrub?

Unfortunately I have no photos to hand folks.

We used to have it growing in the garden until it was dug up.

It had a yellow centre, slightly bigger than a one Euro coin with pink/pinkish petals. The stems and leaves were stubby and it was a good low lying bedding plant.

I'm really stumped as I want to find it again. I'll try sifting through old photograps.

Oh, I was imagining the centre as being €1 coin sized, with pinkish petals around it, like some sort of daisy. OP you really need to give us a photograph, you are not going to get an identification from descriptions

Thanks for the replies, I'm trying to sift throught the mountain of photos.

The petals were thin and like a daisies in shape. I asked my parents and unfortunately they do not remember the name.

Mesembryanthemum? Though most of them do not have yellow middles, they are definitely stubby in growth.
