V Par Comp-what effect on handicap if any?

    Lads, i played a V Par competition earlier. Finished all square- had 3 +'s and 3 -'s

However, 2 of the +'s i had were with birdies on holes where i had a shot. So in other words par's would have been enough for a plus

If it had been stableford i would have been 38 points. Standard scratch is likely to be level par. So i'm wondering do i get any cut?

is there some way that things are adjusted for handicap terms to take into account that 2 of the holes were gross birdies and not just net birdies?

Just wondering the story as i'm unsure on it, thanks

If the standard scratch is likely to be level par then you get no cut as you finished all square.

If one person was playing off scratch and he birdie the first and eagle the second, he be 2 up. Birdies and eagle and albatros count as +1 each in V-par.
Bogey and treble bogey will count as -1 each.

That is the difference between v-par and stableford. Kinda like v-par myself.
