I have been looking through the fas website and saw the various w.p.p. available.some might be beneficial but i think there are some looking for free labour(slave labour). One was looking for a tyre fitter ,39 hour week,no salary and was for 9 months.Another one was green keeper ,30 hour week,no salary ,and 9 months duration. if this is not cheap /slave labour in the guise of work experience i dont know .

I 100% agree with you. It's total exploitation but at the same time, people need experience when applying for paid jobs.

I'm soon to be made redundant and looked at some to do with marketing and thought the same as you, but if I am going to be sitting at home doing nothing, saving money, I may as well be bolstering my CV in some way.

I think if a comapny can afford to pay, they should. But it'sa sign of the times and exploitation is rife :(

I think that it should be looked into, seriously.

I saw one job advertised for a publishing intern (not on fas). They wanted a graduate to be used as a total dog's body and I'm sure the firm in question have the money to pay minimum wage.
