attic insulation over foam bits........

was up in the attic yesterday and decided it might be time to add insulation
its a small area really so no big deal was thinking of throwing down a few rolls but is it ok to throw this down over the foam bits, or is there anything else required,

or can a few bags of this foam stuff be bought and added

Dont know what you mean by "foam bits".

Is it the existing insulation? Any pictures or links as to what it looks like?

Ah I see now!

It may be fine to put down rolls of insulation over those small polystyrene pieces - but I would check with wherever you intend to buy the rolls first.
Just in case those fibregrass insulation rolls may not be compatible with the small polystyrene pieces for whatever reason.

If you are laying rolls of insulation make sure you dont cover any electrical cables and the light cables of the rooms directly beneath the attic.
