See? I told you I stick my foot into it without realising it (unless I once again just pointed out my lack of spotting sarcasm?)

And don't worry about scaring me. I did French in school, which means every language now sound scary to me. If I say I am going to kill you with a shovel and feed you to a pack of will dogs in french, it will still sound gay

I was actually being serious that time, which is strange for me...Haha I don't need to know how to say things like that, I could say I love fluffy bunny rabbits and still be scary XD

the first years should know there's only one giant toilet and the toilet dosnt have a lock and they make you all go at the same time. also, if you're not earlier then the lecturer for a lecture, then you get locked out of the hall and you have to re-register in records and pay a fine redeemable once you've graduated.

the library opening hours are tuesdays and thursday 8:30am to 9:10am on the first week of each term, closed mon, wed, weekend and every other thursday, Shut for break from 8:45 to 9:00 and they knock it down and build a new one ever time there's a bank holiday.

hey, it's O'Callaghan Room, in Logic House, South Campus.
List of all those abbreviations is here: Teaching Venues

    Directions:
    Logic House:

Located on the South Campus; from the footbridge (statue end), walk straight ahead, leaving the Aula Maxima on your left and continue across the top of St Joseph’s Square. As you leave the square you will see an arched entrance in the wall in front. Go through this, and the large building ahead is Logic House. Bear right and midway along the side is the main entrance. The departments of Mathematics and Music are in this building.

    It's in this building: 26south_map.jpg

I'm in 2nd year now with Media and Spanish if that counts? I didn't know anyone last year that was doing Media, Spanish and English!

A map of where all the toilets are would be handy. I spent about a week going from the Arts building to John Hume to go to the toilet because I didn't know they were around the corner :o:pac:

Emm, where? I still do that (I do know that there are a large jacks on the third floor of the library for gents, which is generally cleaner then the bottom floor)

From the front entrance go down the first corridor to the right, and they're on your left about half way down.

Another thing first years should know...

Don't just wander into a class looking for something you think you might have forgotten maybe. Especially when that class has been going on for half an hour and you're disturbing the crap out of everyone in the room. Wait till the blasted thing finishes up at five to. Damn fools. Twice this week!

I think the forthcoming cuts are a treasonous act by a government that deems itself to be developing a "Smart Economy". Students are supposed to be the future of this country. At the moment we are the future of Australia.

What are the repercussions of not handing in an assignment?

I'm really sick and dont think im going to make it in tomorrow to get it in on time. No one I can give it to or anything :(

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 3,946 ✭✭✭mp3guy

Usually you don't get marked unless you have a doctors notes. Even then it's not guaranteed.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 15 Howie365

It's for a subject where i think he said they take like 8 out of 10 assignments you do and they go towards continuous assessment.

To be honest, once it's not a situation where I'm in a fair amount of trouble over it, I don't mind.

Thanks for the quick reply mate

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 7,645 ✭✭✭Daemos

Since it's an assignment I'm assuming it's for a tutorial? Do you have the email of the tutor? I'd definately get in touch with them and let them know, they might give you an extension.

I doubt you'll get in any trouble over it either way, the worst that can happen is getting marked down, and IIRC a letter to your parents if it happens regularly

It was an assignment given in a lecture but corrected by our tutors so I may e-mail the tutor.

Thanks, that's taken a load of my mind - was getting a bit stressed. It's not something that will happen regularly so I should be okay :)
