I want to get a headset for black ops when it comes out .

Are the Turtle beach x21's any good ?

Yes, some people though, when they get a good headset are known to camp as they can hear everything and are afraid to move

You can pick them up for 70 euro or maybe cheaper if you shop around, they also work on the supreme console that is the 360;)

I have the X21's and they are class. You can get them in Argos.

They're e75 iirc when I got them (like 6 weeks ago). Definitely worth it, it's amazing the sounds you hear that you normally wouldn't with them

Yes I have The Sharkoon's got them in Peats for €139 well worth the money 5.1 surround sound so you can hear lads coming up behind you. They are really your only option for the PS3. Just an added advantage you can use them on the 360 PC, dvd player anything with optical out on them.

Thats alot for headphones. Ive got a surround sound setup and it works great for hearing people around you.

Turtle Beache PX21's will do fine for 70 euro in Gamestop or Argos.

Agreed, I can't believe I spent so long without them... I got 3 nukes in one weekend because it is so much easier to play the game

After picking up a set today my advice to you would be, to fork out the extra few bob for the sharkoon's above or the turtle beach x41's . No doubt you can hear sounds in game that you wouldnt normally hear, I still don't think theyre great . You can hear your enemies footsteps but you have no idea where theyre coming from

I agree with you. I have been using the Sharkoons for a while and it makes my life so much easier, there is nothing u can't hear, and because its a true 5.1 dd system u also know where those noises are coming from!

Now I do warn you, be careful when u use them with Sit Rep Pro... sometimes I can't leave a place because I keep hearing footsteps everywhere

Picked up the TB X21s last night.

They're great

Can hear everyone running around me, hearing sounds I never even knew were there before :pac:

I have the Sharkoons, I think its well worth it to but a good set of headphones. A normal surround sound isn't an option for me, and besides, the bass in a shooter is way too loud if you share a house and play late.

You would think with both consoles out for a number of years that they would have developed a wireless headset 5.1 surround sound that would be compatible for both consoles.
