Yep, I was there, had a very good day. Was entered into best dressed competition but then completely forgot about it and went for food about 15 mins before it :(

Lots of lovely clothes, good price range, fell in love with a beautiful 1950's black sequinned and tulle prom dress, €75, was perfect for a ball I'm going to next month but I have enough black already, if it was blue or purple would've bought it.

My mother bought a beautiful vintage peacock brooch, bargain at €20, I also fell in love with a 1920's hat but as I couldn't try it on over my victory roll and ponytail I didn't buy it, but I know what shop it was from so might go looking for it again.

I missed it this time around. It's usually a fun day out even though there is rarely anything there for men.

    I'm older than Minecraft goats.

Yeah I think I saw only 2 or 3 rails of men's clothing altogether.

I was at the Galway one too, it was great for a first year of it but the layout was much better at the Dublin one, much more space, so it was much easier to look at things I couldn't afford :P

Has anyone here ever been into Quack & Dirk vintage shop in Fairview/Marino? I pass it every day on my bus to town and keep saying I must go in and have a look but haven't gotten around to it yet.

A friend of mine works there :)

I haven't actually been in to the shop yet, but I've seen a lot of the stuff and it's lovely. Very reasonable too! The owner sources stuff from Paris, London and Berlin so it's a good blend of tastes and styles.

I got a gift of a really nice pair of vintage pearl earrings for my birthday from there!

If you're around the area, definitely check it out! I'd say it's well worth it.

Oh cool, thanks. :) Sounds good. I may wander in when I get paid. It would probably be torture to go in with no money. I'd want to buy the whole shop! Then again, maybe going with no money would be the best option. :pac:

I only noticed it a few months ago. I saw something bright and colourful at the end of the alleyway so spent the next few bus trips trying to get good look.

Have you been to the Maynooth one?!
    Nope, never.
Nutgrove, Rathfarnham, they have 2 rows of ladies stuff. I'm sure the Maynooth branch is better though.
    Thank for your help.

    Thank you.

Will see if I can pop into the Maynooth one sometime soon, depends on college though.

    Thanks for the help.

I can't find anywhere else this would be appropriate, and I don't want to make a new thread...

I live in Tallaght and need to get to Mink Hand And Foot Spa in Donnybrook Village. Google maps and dublinbus.ie are useless as both don't seem to know a thing about actual bus routes... I know the 77X goes from Tallaght to UCD but that leaves at one time and doesn't return, so if anyone has any other suggestions, could you please help? I'm resigned to the fact that a stop over on Dame St is unavoidable...

    Thanks =]

For anyone that knows anything about Smashbox prices - is this a good deal?

    Thanks for any help.

Mink is gorgeous! Lucky you! If it's for a pedicure, I'd recommend their Shelbourne Road branch in Ballsbridge though, as the pedicure area in Donnybrook is a bit more cramped.
If you were going to Ballsbridge, you could get the Luas to Connolly and then the dart to Landsowne Road.

    Happy Birthday Twee! Gorgeous bag!

Can anyone recommend/suggest places (Online and instore) where I can get cashmere/soft wool gloves/scarf/hat please? I'm looking for either Black or Grey.

    Thanks.

You can get pure cashmere gloves and hats in Marks & Sparks. I can't remember how much the gloves are but I think the hats are €27.
