My3G causing phone to hang on apple logo straight after install???

Have been using My3G with no problems whatsoever for about 2 months now, currently Im waiting on an official unlock to come via Apple & I restored the phone to 4.0.1 using Umbrella the other night with no problems, even got My3G installed again & everything was fine but the unlock had not yet come through

Then today I restored again, everything was fine till I went to reinstall My3G....after jailbreaking I went through the usual process in Cydia, the loading screen fires up & then asks me to reboot device, when I do the phone switches off, loads up the apple logo & then just hangs on that

iTunes can still see the phone & even tries to sync with it but the apple logo just still remains on the phone.
I thought maybe it might justve been a dodgy install so tried again, but now after the 4th time of trying it keeps doing the same thing...I even tried restoring from a different backup before jailbreaking but still that has made no difference

Has anyone experienced anything like this?
Im headed away on holiday soon & was depending on this to use Facetime to stay in touch with people at home so its important I get it working

Don't worry man you are not alone.. I am having the same exact problem but I am using the iPhone 4! I have tried about three times.. Cydia JB works fine after limera1n jb! I can download my MYWI no problem... and I can download my3g (verifies that i have paid for the app) but onces its done installing and it prompts only option of rebooting I hit reboot and it never turns back up! Just stuck at the white apple logo! What the heck Saurik(guy who owns cydia, i actually paid for this app) fix this!

I'm on an iPhone 4 too mate, have searched around online but can't seem to find any trace of other ppl experiencing this apart from you & I, inmates Saueik gets hundreds if tweets everyday somindount that's the beat means of communication....do you know is there any official
Cydia type forum on which we could post?
I have this exact same post on the macrumors & modmyi forums

I downloaded 4.1 last night to the phone too & tried to jailbreak with Limera1n on my dads PC as theres no Mac version yet but it just kept saying "waiting for device"'as if it didn't see the iPhone. Will try again later + fingers crossed Geohot gets a mac version out soon

ya do know its not as simple as just clicking make it rain, make sure itunes isnt running and then start again, watch the prompts cos ya have to put it into dfu mode but it tells ya exactly how

Ah right, I didn't know it needs to be in DFU mode, still didn't get any prompts though weirdly enough & iTunes definitely isn't running as it's not even installed in the PC....will try again now in a min

It was cos I didn't have iTunes on the machine, needs drivers from iTunes for linera1n to see the device

Did all that....linera1n prompted me to do all the bits but as soon as phone went into DFU mode a windows box pops up saying limera1n has stopped working, then had to hook the phone back into my MacBook to iTunes, restart in recovery mode & then kick out using Umbrella.....think I'll just wait for Geohot to throw up the Mac version lol

I just searched the MY3g again in Cydia and went to it's page and turns out they know this is happening cos there is a note saying "Limera1n 4.1 Note: We are working on a solution for My3G and Facetime it does not yet work on 4.1. Thanks for your patience!" So hooray atleast they know!

Excellent!

Strange thing is though, this was happening even when I was restoring back to 4.0.1

I'll sit tight for the minute anyway, hopefully they come through soon

I just found the solution its kind of time consuming (15 more minutes) and it worked for me turns out there is something on our backup thats doing this to our phone...first backup under your regular computer user name...then create a new user on computer.. restore to a brand new software.. then click start as new iphone don't sync nothing just start a new iphone.. then jb it download my3g.. let it restart then goto your regular username and then restore from backup to your phone (recently done backup) and wala you are good to go!!!
