I got married in 2008 and had the reception in the Muckross Park hotel. http://www.muckrosspark.com/
It was lovely, couldn't rate the place highly enough. I know I'm completely biased but I maintain it's the nicest meal I've ever had at a wedding. All of the food was served plated with sides in bowls rather than slopped-up by a waiter from a serving tray which is a pet-hate of mine.

Maldron is ok for a bigger crowd but food isn't great.

The Malton (old Great Southern) is gorgeous and again, the food is lovely.

The Europa has amazing views for photos but awful food.

there is a big church in the middle of the town, as far as i remember its by the junction near the outlet mall....

it would be about 10 minutes from muckross, and i have to agree even in the winter muckross is once of my favorite place to visit, we do so often, and its so picture-esq whatever the season...

Muckross? I didn't get married in a church in the town but there are several. Definitely loads of nice places to take photos. You can head into the Park itself and there's loads of nice trees, the lakes etc. that'd suit.

Thats the Friary. Not sure if they do weddings tho..

I was at a wedding in the Killarney Heights Hotel on the Cork Road in July and it cannot be faulted! Food was amazing, staff were quick, bar was open really late!

The Church of the Resurection on the Park Road is really nice and the Prince of Peace Church in Fossa is really picturesque.

A lot of the hotels in town can close during the winter, so you would want to ring and see whats open. Some only open on weekends, but more of them dont open at all.
