If you can see the moon right now, it's looking pretty damn cool.

Not as cool as last wednesday morning...earthlit waning moon in it's last crescent just a few degrees above the rising sun...saw it for about 20 minutes before the earthlight was drowned out by the sunlight.

Can't see it myself but have heard it said that a reddish moon means good weather on the way, probably an old wives' tale.

I thought it meant blood had been spilt. That's according to Legolas, so it's probably fact.

Just looked again.... it's gone
I think there's just haze over it though.

I tried taking a picture from my window but it came out terrible and I got stares from people walking by :( I'm not the neighbour hood peeping tom or anything :pac:

It's just a low moon, the Earth's atmosphere scatters the light and makes it appear red.. It's called a harvest moon

    Someone post a pic.. I can't see it =p

"One time, i saw a man, looking at me with his eyes. then, he pick up a tube, and he look at me through the tube, and he made the moon big, inside the tube!
The moon, big inside a tube! hahaha!
    Ahh... telescope."

The Harvest Moon is the full Moon closest to the autumnal equinox, this is the Hunter's Moon, the first full moon after the Harvest Moon.

    [Edit: There's a list apparently..]

    January – Wolf moon
    February – Snow moon
    March – Storm moon
    April – Pink moon
    May – Flower moon
    June – Strawberry moon
    July – Buck moon
    August – Sturgeon moon
    September – Harvest moon
    October – Hunter's moon
    November – Beaver moon
    December – Cold moon
