It's official: my sleeping pattern is messed up.

I have been awake since 6 o clock Sunday evening (don't ask why) and am still wide awake more than 19.5 hours later, can't get to sleep period. I will make 24 hours easily.

I sleep 12 hours somedays even though I was only awake 14 hours but when I am awake 24 hours I only sleep 5 hours maximum. Thing is, in a couple of days time I will be waking at 8 in the morning but will be exhausted at 4pm :mad:

Pffffft - anyone can stay up 24 hours easily.
Stay up 36 hours then have a looong sleep and you'll be fine in a couple of days

I know the feeling! Staying awake all night usually doesn't help, though.

Forget about 8 hours, what I usually do is think of 16 hours. As in, your body will only start to feel (mentally!) tired 16 hours after you wake up. Thus, to restore your normal sleep cycle, you have to force yourself to wake up 16 hours before the time you want to go to bed (or, to put it in another way, the time you want to get up normally in the mornings). You will feel zombie-like for day one, but day two onwards should be back to normal. As long as you stay consistent with your getting up, going to bed times, you will be fine!

Are you working right now or going to school? If not, then find something to fill in the gap, more exercise at regular times every day or other day.

I find if I play PS3 for more than, say, 60hours consecutively then my sleeping patterns get all messed up.

Perhaps if you try play for 60hours it might to the exact opposite and knock you right back into sync.

My sleep pattern is fcuked up too. So i've just given into it at this stage,go to bed when i want, wake up when i wake. I'm not up too long today actually!

I have similar trouble as I work nights at the weekend. nothing a few Morgans and Cokes doesn't put right;) Once i drink myself to sleep on a sunday evening I generally get up nice and early with a bitching thirst.
