Hey, my real name is Juliet..yup just like Shakespears, duh! :P
I'd love to get a tattoo so I'm always looking at forums and stuff, but I probably'll never get one, cause I have a very sensitive and allergic skin ::sighs::
    BUT..
I got my revenge with piercings!
I always tell my self 'this is the last one, i'm beginning to exagerate, but after a while there I go again, thiking about a new next original spot..and there goes another!
    I'm 27 (old?), and by now i've had 10 piercings, 9 remaining..and soon I'll be counting again..LOL.
Anyways nice to join an interesting forum.
    :)
    Cheers

i'm the same way with the sensitive skin.. i can't even keep piercings due to the fact they always get infected regardless of metal used (hypoallergenic plastic gauges are all i can use)
but i've had NO problems with tattoos! in fact my tattoos heal faster than most people's... if you really want to start getting tattooed i would suggest getting a small (some sort of coin sized), hidden tattoo for your first. if you have an allergic reaction it isn't huge deal since it won't be seen as easily if it heals bad. and if it turns out great you can continue to ink your body:D

hey nice to see there is actually some one on the other side of this screen..lol..
anyways, what also gives me thought.. is what will i tell my dermatologist if he sees it, i'd probably be kicked out of the place!!
    :)
with piercings it's different, it's what the same doctors use for severly ingured people who need implants..so there's really nothing they can say you know..

i don't know about that... i'm kind of anti-doctor so i've never been to a dermatologist. would he/she really get upset if you get a tattoo? i don't see why it would be an issue

hey all, just wanna ask a question if i may...im in the middle of getting a back tattoo done, covering most of my back so its getting done in stages, i got the second last bit done on thursday which is from half way up my back to the base of my neck, the colouring is all black. ive noticed around the outline is all purple kinda like a bruise on some bits and its still a bit sore.
is this normal? this is my 6th tatoo and have never had this before?? im thinking maybe cos its so big that has something to do with it.
ive been using savlon and cleaning it twice a day.

    thanks x

I'm new to the board and to Dublin, moved here a few weeks ago from Philadelphia.

Interested in possibly getting some work done on my arm, I have an outline and just need some filling in!

    Any suggestions???

Depends on what your outline is and what style...

    Welcome along! :)

it's a sailor jerry piece, a jaguar with a snake around it. so it's a pretty traditional outline.
