Registration of a Ltd Company at CRO

    Hi everyone!

    My business partner and I are starting up a business (online advertisement) and need to register at the CRO (I believe).
    We are very new to this and need some advice.

    To start with, when we tried to register our company online, using CORE, we were asked to provide a company number. We cannot find any definition or information on this number. How can we get this company number?

    Even when we tried to use other online companies which provide the services to register a company on behalf of other business, they ask us for a company name so cannot use these services either.

    Any information is much appreciated since we already have an office and need to provide the status of the company as soon as possible.

    Hi

    You cannot register a limited company online at CRO. You need to file a form A1 with them and a memorandum and articles of association which are then approved by CRO who then issue you with a company number if everything is in order.

    If what you are talking about is a business name registration you can do this online at CRO and dont need an already formed company. It can be done by an individual, partnership or a company.
