Dress/Outfit for conferring?

Hi there!

My graduation is coming up at the end of this month. I need ideas of what to wear to it. I'd ideally go for a dress but might consider a skirt/top combo. I want to stay away from Coast and Monsoon preferably. I have a voucher for Brown Thomas so is there anything nice in there? I'm in or around a size 16 and 5' 8'' with dark brown hair and a pale complexion. Oh, and I'm expecting the weather to be typically sh*t for that time of year.

Any ideas?

Depending on your voucher value, have a look at Whistles and Phase Eight in Brown Thomas - Phase Eight has really nice dresses in amongst the older stuff.

I have a conferring ceremony this mth too but its on after work so will just be wearing good work clothes to it - evening wear no!

Just confused by the suggestion of Coast/Monsoon - makes me think of evening/wedding wear (tho I do love Coast's workwear, the Monsoon inclusion makes me lean towards the more usual view of Coast, though by evening I didn't mean full length formal

). I've also seen pictures on FB of people in clothes I'd consider weddingy.

I wore a shift dress and jacket, but that's a hella long time ago
