Im aware that I am liable for the tax on my car from the day I bought it (15th september) what do i need to get stamped to say it was off the road since then? or is it that I need to get it stamped to say its been off the road since July (late date of tax with previous owner) will I have to pay from the day i tax it or the…

If you have used it for September you will have to tax it from 1st Sep. If you haven't used it on the road get a form that the Gardai will stamp. Form is on the net, motortax.ie
