number question that has my head mashed

    Find the missing numbers in the following sequences 1, 2, 3, 5, ?, 13, 21, ?


    • 11 24
    • 8 45
    • 8 34
    • 11 34
    • 9 45
    i just dont really understand the question..?

    Add 1+2 = 3, 3+2=5, 5+3=8 etc. It's just the two numbers added and then the following two.

    Answer is 8,34

    ahhh i see lol
    its a question on a job application form for pennys found it a weird one to ask i just couldn spot what exactly was going on in the question

    No bother, eh it's quite a strange question for an application for Penny's don't you think?

    If you just google for 1,2,3,5 - the Wikipedia article on fibonacci pops up at the top of the list.

    This ( to me at least ) was not an obvious thing to do - but I am finding out lately that Google can do a great job even with somewhat cryptic search criteria.
