The middle-switch in our 3-switch hallway panel went so I bought a replacement in B&Q.

The terminal assignments in the old switch are completely different between the old and new switches.

    The old unit has L3, L2, L1, L3, L2 on the top and L1, L3, L2 and L1 on the bottom.

The replacement unit has L1 (1-way), L2, L1 (1-way), L2, L1 (1-way), L2 on the top and COM, COM, COM on the bottom.

Does anyone know which terminals on the old unit would map to the terminals on the new unit.

    Thanks.

From your description the middle switch on the original is upside down relative to the two outer ones. (or at least its terminals are)

    \/ /\ \/ (original switch)

\/ \/ \/ (new switch, the base of the V is marked COM)

Does that make sense to you DublinWriter?
