has anyone got any experience of waste oil burners on a domestic scale.

can a conventional domestic boiler be converted from a kerosene burner to a waste oil burner

I'm sure they would work just fine.

Although they would be illegal because of the emissions.

Many kerosene units are indoors, sometimes in a scullery or kitchen area. It would be foolish top convert an indoors unit to waste oil as the resulting odours would be liklely to be both unplesant and, possibly, dangerous.

Additionally, it is unlikely the burner will work with "waste" oil so would probably need to be replaced.
