True, just wish I could find my cunting IPod, have loads of TV shows on tonight and would like to watch them tomorrow in the massive amount of free time I'm going to have. :pac:

Ouch, i feel your pain! Get searchin'!:pac:

Is this money for the bio lab manuals 10 for the lot, or 10 for each bloody one?

Hoping it's a tenner for the lot, otherwise they better accept credit cards. :pac:

I'm 99.9% sure that 1008 is the Ed Burke Theatre where you were for General Orientation.

Are there any labs for biology for second years this week??

Yeah I dunno either. They hand us a lab manual that says on page 3 we have no labs (and the dates are wrong), and then on page 4 it says we have an Introduction to Practicals. Then they send us an email saying we don't have labs, then send us an email telling us not to listen to that email. If I go in for my lab tomorrow, I'll be in at 10, and I'll have to hang around for a 5pm lecture. Is it really that difficult for them to just tell us when we're in? Why give us timetables in our lab manuals and have resources like tcd portal and online timetables if they're not correct?

I just emailed the BY2201 coordinator and they said it would be advisable to attend the intro to practicals session tomorrow/wednesday.

Damn, means I only get two days off this week. :pac: Guessing we wouldn't need labcoats or anything?

I honestly don't know! All I was told was that "it will be a veru brief session to make sure that everything is in order".

    +1

From what I've heard, it's 30+ euros in the SU shop. Great if I can find somewhere cheaper. I already skipped lunch to pay the bus fare home today :P

Does anyone know where the bio lab 3 is??? The one where GL2201 is?

Yeah I'm broke and can't really afford this plus the other things they want us to get.

    Hey guys,
I have a Constitutional Law lecture at 6 today, but it's in the Hamilton for some reason. (MacNeil 3)
Can anyone give me some pointers on how to find it? :)

Up the stairs outside, in the doors, turn right, keep walking past the Maxwell and Joly theatres and its the next one. :)

    Was absolutely hilarious today.

10:00 --> Me +3 people show up for the Intro to practicals thing (ie. Bio Lab). Ask the demonstrators if it's on, they're like "of course it's on".

    10:05 --> 9 people have arrived.

10:10 --> Demonstrators ask us if we know why no one else has arrived. We begin to explain the multiple conflicting timetables.

10:13 --> Having explained it to them, the demonstrators and instructors look completely confused.

<Long pause while everyone exchanges bewildered looks>

10:15 --> They just give us the 30 second talk and let us go.

Having left the lab, everyone checks their email and realises that we were sent an email saying no labs. Someone should probably tell the people running the lab, because I'm pretty sure I was at one...

I was going to go in today for 2 o'clock til I saw the email from Rochford. What was the 30 second talk anyway?

All I got from it was that we'll have pre-practical quizzes each week. Multiple choice. Pick up a sheet at the beginning of the lab, answer the q's, hand it up by a quarter past, no talking during it etc. I think they'll run through it at the beginning of the safety talk on friday since no one is going to the labs now. Speaking of which, we have a safety talk on friday at noon in the goldsmith. Don't think it was really worth going in for anyhoo.

Me thinks they've a problem with numbers and venues and it's something that they've to look into.

Can anyone tell me where and when we're supposed to get the chemistry lab manuals?

I think it was the physical chemistry lab in the SNIAM building but I'm not sure.

Yea, it's the Physical Chemistry lab on the 2nd floor of the SNIAM building. You can get them today from 2-3 or tomorrow from 10-11 or 2-3.

    Thanks! :D

Think I'll get out one of the chemistry books for the weekend. Get some sort of college/study related routine going.
