LAN based Video Chat

Hi, Does anyone know of a free software that will allow me to chat using a webcam to other people in the same LAN. I know I could do this with Messenger or the like but I don't really want to be fiddling with user names and passwords, online services, etc. It's just to use in school between classrooms. Thanks.

Not sure if it'll do what you want, but VLC media player can stream video over a LAN

That's not what the OP wants at all. Afraid I don't know an app that does LAN video chat

Never used it before but Windows Meeting Space should do the trick.
Comes with Vista and I think Windows 7, but you can download it through XP.
