I'm currently studying law in a Dublin Universtity. Overall, i'd had more of a tendancy towards becoming a solicitor over being a barrister. This is mainly because the work of a solicitors sesms a lot of appealing to me. But to tell the thruth, i hadn't thaught too deeply into this question and was happy to leave my options open. However, an optional module for me this year was a semester in administrative law, which is a requirement for entry into the Kings Inn. So, by choosing not to do it, i'd already be limiting myself considerably where becoming a barrister is concerned.

So i suppose what i'm really asking is if people could give me some advice about the pros and cons of both professions.

I'd be really greatful for any advice.
