I was reading an article just there online. I know this has been plastered all over the press for a good while now but I for the first time am filled with so much anger. This man laughing his way into court and getting away with treason! Why isn't this man behind bars? Why is he laughing in my face? Why do I have to pay out 10k to bail him out?

Why are we not up in arms about this? I am just bewildered!

Why wait for someone else to do something: Go protest yourself. Print Pamphlets. organise a rally.

    Every fire needs a spark.

Well, there was more on that board than just him...However....some people are up in arms over it. Others blame (in no order of significance) the unemployed, the civil service, the Africans(essentially just Nigeria), Poles, "Eastern Europeans", Romanians, Roma, students and beggars (all or any nationality) and are otherwise occupied.

    What's wrong with the bloke?

Isn't he running the Anglo Irish Bank?

Sure everything must be grand. You hardly think that our politicans would let anything go wrong. And won't we have a soft landing with house prices when the Celtic Tiger runs out of steam.

Perhaps I'm missing something here but what exactly are we supposed to send him to Jail for?

What evidence of any crime exists and if there is why hasnt there been anything done about it?

Because if you you actually protested about it, youd have to face hundreds of posters on here calling you a lazy, crusty, jobless freak.

The man has committed economic treason. He knowingly pushed this country to the brink of bankruptcy with wreckless lending. He also lent millions to himself.

What crime is this exactly? He ran a business badly and was allowed to continue.

He - and a few others - are currently under investigation in relation to a number of matters including share prices and loans, as well as running a company in a 'reckless manner', if I remember the phrasing correctly.

In that case the evidence (or lack thereof) will come to light in due course.

I'm by no means an apologist for the likes of Sean Fitzpatrick but he has neither been charged with or convicted of any wrongdoing so far.

So far, no. The length of time involved so far does not give grounds for optimism.

The Golden Circle transactions could be seen as market manipulation, which can be punishable by a 10 million euro fine and a maximum of 10 years in prison.

Hmm......... you seem to think on other threads that 'no charges' presume innocence.

You trumpet that in defense of your lads the street cleaners.

    .

Released without charges, investigation closed, Police say "no credible threat".
    http://www.guardian.co.uk/world/2010/sep/19/six-men-pope-plot-released

as opposed to an on-going Garda investigation into what are in many ways uncharted waters.

I posted that article and mentioned that information re the cleaners at the time. This means that either (a) you didn't even bother to look at the information (b) you aren't able to understand it or (c) are so busy trying to score points you're getting confused.

Em he loaned himself money from the bank. Do you not see something a little bit off about that.

I never said it was right or wrong. I just asked what, if any, crime Sean could be charged with and on what grounds.
