I'm afraid of getting old and having none of my loved ones left and possibly not being married. I'll either be living alone or be in some state run nursing home where no one listens to my opinion. Assuming I'm in an old folks home I'll have to eat food I don't like and watch television programmes I can't stand. Nationwide will probably still be on RTE and this is what all the other residents of the old folks home will want to watch. I'll have enough of my faculties left to realise that my life is going to be like this for the next few years until I kick the bucket.

If I'm not in an old folks home I'll die alone of a combination of malnutrition and loneliness. No one will notice I'm dead for a few weeks until a postman puts a bill through my letterbox and sees my dead body in the hallway.

I won't have made a will so I'll be buried (rather than being cremated as I would prefer). Teenagers will then vandalise my headstone and urinate on my grave.

Fear of being buried or alive or trapped in enclosed spaces of any kind.

I've suffered from claustrophobia since I was very young.

Not afraid of death...I've had a good run.

    Spiders however.

fear makes me feel alive which is a good thing i like it... increases your reactions. adrenalin rush....
    Puts you on your game.

The trick is to use it in a proactive manor to suit the situation.
Being able to control fear is a very very satisfactory feeling :D

The idea of crawling through a small tunnel makes me lose my breath.

And being eaten by a lion or bear, wouldnt fancy that either.

When I was younger I lived on a country road that had a bridge on it. It basically had 3 large concrete pipes running under the road. There was also another smaller pipe that came out under the bridge but ran up the road not across it. Myself and a mate decided it would be great fun to explore this. Got about 3/4 of the way when we found it had partially collapsed and had to go back. Looking back it was so stupid. Even for 2 small young fellas it was a tight squeeze. (:p)

OT: I honestly can't think of anything I'm "afraid" of.

I have 'The Fear' every Sunday night when I go to bed after a heavy weekend, can't sleep, feels like someone is in the room, spiders crawling up the bed etc etc! End up awake tossing (he he) and turning for most of the night and come into work on Monday looking like a zombie!!!

Big dogs, I don't care how "gentle" you say she is but if she is able to put her front paws on my shoulders and look me in the jugular, I'm panicking!

Clowns as well. They are evil. I hated them even before I saw "It"

Not dying, but getting old. I don't want to lose my mental faculties and not be able to live in dignity. I would prefer to go before then.

Being fully paralysed but still aware.
    :(

Spiders to a small degree. I hate killing them though. I left one crawling happily along my lampshade last night. Woke up to find it had decided to walk onto my head
bastard. try and be nice and that's what you get!

Public speaking scares the sh!t outta me. I can chat away all day long to anyone and everyone but having to get up in front of a crowd of people and read something out loud. Irrational fear from school...never got over it.

I hear ya Anniehoo...It feels like my heart is going to jump out my mouth it's beating so fast.

Also I FEAR Ronan Keating...and people who like his voice.

Im afraid of putting my hands in pototo bags especially when they start growing them white shoots.
I dont like going to the shed at all.
I dont like the noise water makes when its being sucked down the bath hole - I have to dry quickly and leave before the water is gone.
Dead or nearly dead gold fish give me the chills - I hate the bobbing they do.
    Im afraid of electric fences.

Other than that Im afraid of having no money or not enough. Its a constant worry actually. :(

I don't have any crippling or irrational fears as far as I know. I don't like heights they do scare me but that's a perfectly normal fear to have and it doesn't stop me from being up high.

I'm certainly not afraid of any other animals, I take being at the top of the food chain seriously.

I don't like winged things that fly at you - moths, butterflys that sort of thing.
I also hold a special fear of vampires, can't even watch ads on the telly or I'll have nightmares for weeks. The bstards love sitting on my windowsill....I know they'll get me one day

I do like spiders though, we have a pet one called Sid that lives under the sink, she's been there since before the snow last year and we feed her every now and again. :)

Not if she has a BAPTISM OF FIRE!

    Could be worse still.

What if she don't go to heaven where the angels fly /Go to a lake of fire and...drown ? That wouldn't be nice now would it?

    :D

I have to do that in front of a load of senior management at work soon . Practicing like hell so I don't make a t1t of myself, but am still sh1tting a brick.

I'm also afraid of Eastenders.

Afraid of clowns. They are creepy things! I will never watch 'It'. I'm wary of Tim Curry because he played It.
Terrified of public speaking. I have to do a presentation on my thesis proposal in November in front of my class and lecturers and I'm crapping a brick already over it.

Once I hear the wumph-wumph-wumph of mothwings I will not rest until I have exterminated the mofo. No idea why. Other critters dont bother me...
