Insurance Cover for Certificate of Deposit

Hi everyone, I wish to apply for an auctioneer/house agents licence but need to submit a certificate of deposit/guarantee bond to the amount of €12,700. Are there any insurance companies that will cover this bond? Thanks for your help.

Kerryman, you should check with the Irish Auctioneering Society to see what is an acceptable bond product when applying for a licence. I'm sure there are specific bond/guarantee vechiles that meet the requirements when applying for an auctioneering licence. More than likely they will have a list of providers of such products. I wouldn't expect it is as simple as putting your 12odd grand on deposit with a bank or insurance company, where you can cash it in the day after you receive your licence?

May be I am wrong and it is as simple as that??
