Cant get 3G on Vodafone Network

    Hi guys, this is baffling me. I have an iPhone originally on the O2 network, but well out of contract. I changed to vodafone with a new SIM pack etc. We followed all the steps to unlock it and whenever I plug it into itunes it says it needs to download new carrier settings (i.e. vodafone) which it does, but i can never get it to work on the 3G network .. it works fine on Wifi etc. Anyone any ideas, coz vodafone dont seem to be able to fix it! Frustrating as I am paying for a package including x amount of data per month..

    Can you actually get Vodafone 3G service where you are? Is 3G turned on in Settings > General > Network?

    yeah.. everything is switched on, Enable 3G and Cellular Data is 'on'. No probs with coverage as my wife has a iPhone too and it works for her.. (hers was new from Vodafone but minewas unlocked from O2)..

    Try your SIM in your wife's iPhone. If you can't get 3G then there's a problem with the 3G provisioning to your account.
