If we didn't have our little collection of hootin', tootin', batshit-crazy, fundamentalist christian(*) creationists, then we wouldn't have had this thread which shows, so clearly, the witless nadir to which religion leads the uncomplicated and the uninformed. And which, by implication, really does help justify the existence of the forum.

Humble thanks to our friends and colleagues in the christian religion for doing so much for so long to sustain so many on such a lack of evidence!

(*) and their colleagues from the other religions too, of course!
... lighten up Robin ... and join in the fun!!!

... you're starting to sound like a dour Puitanical Atheist !!!

A new evolutionary tactic ... keep asking what kind of evidence people will accept for Evolution ... while studiously avoiding providing any evidence for Evolution

... of course, the reason for all of this 'pussyfooting' is because they have no evidence for Evolution.

    Noooooooooooooooo mon petit paranoid one!
You regularly request evidence but have the proviso that it must concur with your magic book and not be provided by the nasty scientists who hide under your bed plotting your demise.
All I am asking is, since these stipulations are difficult for those of us without religiously befuddled reasoning powers, is there any other form of evidence we can use.

After fastidiously examining the woman's t-shirt, for research purposes, I have finally concluded the message she has written on her is:

"How evolution made monkeys out of man".

I'm still unsure if it's "monkeys" or "monkey's", I'm sure someone else will
present their findings regarding this matter soon enough as we explore
real-live examples of the scientific method in action
    Good call !!!:)

Don't 'strain' your eyes too much ... I hear that it is bad for your eyesight!!!

No, the "guy" on the right is actually a human male dressed up in a cheap gorilla suit.

FYI, here's what Darwin looked like:

We may as well get something out of this thread, so I suggest everyone go and watch 'The Fall', because its bloody good!! (Plus Darwin is in it:), but not really)

  • Registered Users Posts: 14,615 ✭✭✭✭J C

Does she love you as much or as little as
    the sky fairy
    God does?
They are two different types of love ... Human and Divine ... but I luckily have both.

I'm sick of this, I'm sinking down to the creationists level

If god created us 6000 years ago:
    • Why do we have wisdom teeth?
Wisdom teeth are an example of vestigial structures, these are
"organs" of an animal that have no apparent purpose having lost
their primary function due to evolutionary adaptation. J C
    , vestigial
structures make no sense whatsoever without evolution & act as
corroborating evidence for the theory. Intelligent design cannot
explain the wings of an emu, the human tailbone, the appendix,
ear muscles, useless human body hair, useless muscles, the
od characteristic of the remnants of whiskers being found on
cadavers etc..., here is a nice list that gives more
    examples and better/more-detailed explanations.
Note: None of these point to "intelligence", even your terrible answer
"not-so-good-after-the-fall" is an example of "intelligence",
    quite the opposite.
    • Why are mens balls on the outside? Serious design flaw there!
Serious design flaw by a designer, smart adaptation by an
unconscious yet directed process of evolution.

    • Why do we have an appendix?
Refer to the links in the vestigial structures.
    • Why do so many people have heart attacks?
    evolution of heart disease protection.
    • Why can't he design a hip? Every old person needs their hip done.
Apparently humans can design this but an "inteGlligentodesigDner" forgot
    • Why did he give us a coccyx?
Refer to the links in the vestigial structures.

The rest follow similar logic, basically I'd like to see J C explain all of these
    things away first...
    .
