Is PSN down?

I can't sign in at all, getting error codes, can't connect to PSN. The Playstation website took ages to load and at the top it says PSN is Offline. Balls. Anyone hear anything about this?

it must be,its telling me my password is incorrect and the forgot password link doesnt work

Yeah, tried to log on about 10 mins ago, keep getting error code 80023017..apparently it's undergoing maintenance.

Don't know when tis back...Just have to play the XBox for the night.

Its down for me too.

Actually cant log onto playstation.ie from the laptop either

I thought it was just me!! I can't log on on the computer either.

I just downloaded the latest system update and then tried to log on. Did the problem only arise for you guys after the system update??

phew thank got its the psn thats down.i thaught someone had hacked my account lol.is this anything to do with this new update 3.50 as i just installed it this morning.

Yeah, I found the answer by reading the thread.

I'm new to PS3, but doesn't 10 hours downtime seem like an awful long time? I don't recall ever having such a length of downtime with the xbox (maybe I just missed them)

Yeah usually it isnt this long like a few hours so this maintenance must be a big one!

Thought someone else changed my password, relieved now.

It's an unusually long downtime from Sony, cant remember it being this long before, hope its for something new coming up.

Guess I might finally finish the single player of battlefield bad company. this sucks. Who the Fook reads twitter anyway to find out about maintenance, why can't it pop up when i log on so I schedule around it.

Am I the only one sick of all the maintenance being done to the PSN? It seems every second Sunday I have a day off it's down and yes 10 hours is a bloody long time. It wouldn't enen be too bad if there were a bit of notice. Sony have all our bloody e-mail addresses(not sure if that's how you spell the plural) so would it be too hard to just send out a mass e-mail? Is that too much to ask for a warning?

Im not sure if it's bacuse of the maintenance or the new firmware update but I cant access the US store anymore..... :eek:
