Chassis number on Supere Tenere

Going to register a super tenere next week. I found the chassis number on the bike but it is on a sticker posted to the frame ? Is this good enough or proper? i though chassis numbers were generally imprinted on the frame or at least as a metal tag ?

aye, wont be a sticker

though the sticker could just be over the metal engraving, to sort of highlight its location

where is the sticker? frame number usually up around the headstock

The vin number is usually on the r/h side of the headstock, punched into the metal. There may also be a vin plate rivetted on somewhere nearby. A sticker is not to be relied on.

Yes not far from the handlebars

Found it on the frame holding the headstock and also above the crankcase.

on a yam the engine and chassis # should match
