Remember all the hooha about this one when launched? I quite liked the app they offered for it too. Well, it's gone. App returns a nasty Oops! error when a query is performed shown, though it is still in the iTunes App Store for download. See: http://techcrunch.com/2010/09/19/cuils-fails-acquired/ Shame.

As we reported last week, search engine Cuil was unceremoniously shut down on Thursday, and there were reports that employees were told to go home and forget about getting paid.

Shame.
