So having the host always set in Northern America isn't fair? It's ridiculous to play a game where there is such imbalance.

COD4 PC: Servers. That is all. :pac:

Congrats. Rest assured when us console gamers heard your cries about lack of dedicated servers in MW2 we were mobilised into apathy.

It still does not change the fact that the console game as was designed originally and through IW patches is biased against most players and has flaws. I doubt you can argue with that.

The problem with COD4 is the type of player and lack of players playing the game at the moment

Maybe it's just me but in my time on COD4 since MW2 was released, I've rarely if ever can remember all these quickscoping/no-scoping gimps others come across regularly.

Saying that back when COD4 was the THE game. You'd get an extreme amount of gimp scopers playing Domination. Partly where my hate for Dom stems from.

I'd agree with you that the players you play against isn't the fault of the maker but they seem to be the in the majority online during my recent session. I'd say there was a little of it during the game's peak but those players were in the minority. Now most objective gametypes descend into unofficial quick scoping lobbies.

I still recall fondy COD4 (the maps in particular are superior to MW2) but this last experience has tarnished the game in my eye. I'm sure if I replayed COD3 again (I loved the multiplayer class system) I'd realise there were some major flaws that my love for the game overlooked. I remember being spawn camped by tanks and artillery strikes and still enjoying the game at the time.

I started playing CoD multiplayer when MW2 was released, but I played CoD 4 offline when it came out. I jumped into the multiplayer segment of 4 and have to say this: it's a much, much better game than MW2.

Infinity Ward bit off more than they could chew with MW2.
