Anyone else find this Guinness day thing a bit lame?

    Ok fair enough last year was 250 years, and as a Guinness drinker myself I had no complaints in paying 2.50 a pint (it's nice how they rip you off all year then drop the prices to 'reasonable' and market them as a promotion/bargain), nor did I mind smirking at the hordes of students (mainly girls) forcing their way through a pint of stout in favour of their usual vodka red bull.

    But having it again this year takes the piss. Totally shameless marketing. I know Diageo are struggling (in relative terms) these days so they've clearly decided to bleed this one dry.

    I don't mind Arthur's Day but the fact that they've been advertising for it for months now is a bit annoying, we're sick of it before it's even begun.
