If there is anyone here who was a sentient being in the early 1990's, can you confirm that some people could be seen sporting a t-shirt bearing this slogan, replete with a picture of the pope mid-puff, at that time?
Was trying to convince some friends earlier that this was the case. They had no recollection of it. Don't think i just dreamt this.

Thanks, Pete. I probably should have just looked it up; thought i did before, though, and found no tell of it.
Am glad i didn't just imagine it; the lifelong city dweller friends i was talking to had no recall of it. Maybe it was mostly a rural thing.
Anyway, i'm glad to see one again; makes me feel nostalgic.:D

I went to a convent secondary school. They were quite strict about the uniforms. On the last day of 6th year my friend wore one of those "pope smokes dopes" t-shirts and she was kicked out of the school by the principal who was a nun
