Hi,

Just wondering if anyone here availed of the Citydeal.ie 25 euro deal for a session of Microdermabrasion plus 'manicure'?

Well I went for the 'manicure' part today, and OMG they were so bloody rude in there!!!!! I say manicure because it was a bare file and paint - and when i asked the lady to shorten them a bit, she barked 'We don't cut nails!' :rolleyes:

The same lady was very rude on the phone when she called to ask me to move my apt last week - dreading the microdermabrasion part now :mad:

I suppose you get what you pay for!!

Oh dear, sorry to hear you had a bad experience.
I went to The Retreat one last week, and it was fine, no way near worth the "original" price but fine for what I paid....
I think the next one I have lined up is the Zenergy one.
I suppose a bad salon will always be that, at least you didn't pay full whack for it.
I do lots of places call a simple file & polish a "mini-manicure", I questioned this at Daydream once...

Oh Zenergy! Don't get me started on that one!!

I rocked up for an appointment for a massage and nails, and they feckin double booked me! In fairness they did give me a free massage but I had to wait an hour for the pleasure. It wasn't all that fantastic either and the table was really squeeky which was really offputting.

I don't think i'll be going back (after I redeem my voucher that is!) - Would be curious to see what you think!

Edit: I think I've had enough of these deals, they are invariably too good to be true

It does seem that the beauty deals aren't worth it. If you have a look at the Boards Deals beauty deals some people weren't too happy either. (Although some were!) I tend to stick with the restaurant deals. It's easier to find out if a restaurant is good than it is to find info on beauty places.

Hi, did anyone avail of this? did they have to buy a 'kit' for €10..I did and am not happy as was not stated in the voucher..girl said I would have ticked box..which I did'nt because there was no box..what a rip off..

I had that deal too, waited for 35 minutes (i arrived 10-15 minutes early), got the file and polish too, no hand massage
The microdermabrasion effects were good so was glad i did it but the lady was so rough it was painful! And when i said this to her she said it was meant to be like that!

I had a better experience with zenergy I booked a pedicure and massage but was early again 10-15mins and waited extra 30mins! Hate when they are late! and my pedicure was slightly rushed so i could make the massage.
