And El Pron is on this forum too, he's in your class too :).
I play flute and piccolo as my first instruments, but also piano, bass and a couple of others. How about you?

The best way to figure out the fancy new timetables is to have a couple of pages open at a time. Have you're department page open so you can check the codes as you select them on the timetable page. I think they're trying to make it easier for us, but I prefer the old ones, at least that way I didn't have to try and remember all the codes!

By the way, anyone know when registration opens? I've been on erasmus and Maynooth have forgotten that I've another year to do!

Darn I have a friday lecture this year and even worse it's at 2. thats going to be tough forcing myself to go to

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 490 ✭✭Wendero

My timetable is decent (finance and economics), though if I'm doing European economy I'll have to get up at nine on wednesday (otherwise won't have to get up until 2), and that course seems kind of interesting.

But it really sucks doing finance and accounting. They got three straight lectures in a row on friday morning! 9-12 Am. And they don't get thursdays off as we get. I bet a couple of those people will be switching to fin/econ quite soon.

Always handy to check your department website first.

This only shows cs and maths modules. I'm pretty sure you can check your other modules by choosing first year Science in the timetable page.

I mean what more could you want? :P

Its just handy to use the CS one when your in second year onwards, since its has all the lab times for CSSE students marked out.

Again you have a choice in the other stuff and that can change a good bit in the first week or two of term. So keep your eyes peeled for any changes!

Wendero it seems I'll be seeing you alot. I'm doing finanace and economics myself.

I was gut since I wanted finanace and accounting but upon seeing the timetable i realized that it was a blessing in disguise.

I wanted Fridays off it seems I'll be getting Fridays off.

It's actually a pity for those doing finance and accounting knowing that they do the same course with those doing economics in first, but their timetable sucks.

    Haha.

hi, i was just wondering when do tutorials get assigned? i saw that it's first come, first served, but when is that?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 20 rik1234

you nearly gave me a heart attack with that friday talk....

checked my finance /accounting timetables ''20 times'' and iv got friday off,

main difference seems to be there is some computer accounts work Tuesdays making it a full day 9-5, the 9am starts on Monday and Tuesday are a bit disappointing i must admit but so long as i have my friday

Your lecturers will let you know when you can sign up in the first week or two of lectures. Keep an eye on moodle at all times too. Moodle is your friend in nuim.

Can anyone who knows what they are doing, help me? I'm doing Arts-History, Anthropology and Greek+Roman Civilisation. I want to drop the Greek and Roman in 2nd year and keep History and Anthro the last 2 years. I dunno how to work out my timetable at all :/

    nuim.ie/timetable

    Course: 1 Arts Double Hons
    Programme: Arts 1
Semester: All if you want to see both!
    Select Module: History = HY111, HY112, HY113, HY114
    Anthropology = AN111, AN113, AN114, AN122
    Greek and Roman = GC103, GC105, GC106, GC107

Can't link the timetable but that's it! Although the Anthro lectures seem to be clashing with each other so i don't know what that story is!
