Backdoor Trojan

I've got a backdoor trojan on my laptop, running windows 7 32bit.

Laptop works fine but when I connect to the internet (have tried many different connections and networks) it restarts. "windows has a critical error...will close and restart"

then when it comes back on an "application" wants to restore

    S-1-5-21-0243936033-3052116371-381863308-1811\vsbntlo.exe

Norton has identified it as High Risk.

I've ran Microsoft Security Essentials and Norton but they can't remove it.
and now they want to update, i can't connect to internet... Its a catch 22!

I've gone in to the registry and deleted what I thought was the problem, I deleted "S-1-5-21-0243936033-3052116371-381863308-1811\vsbntlo.exe" but when I connected to internet again its restarted! Same old song!

How can i get rid of this!!?

Download Malwarebytes on another pc and burn it to a cd
Install it on the infected machine.

Restart the machine in safe mode:

Just before the Windows 7 splash screen shown above appears, press the F8 key to enter Advanced Boot Options and select safe mode

Scan with malware bytes and norton and it should remove the infection then.

Before running the scans you could restart the machine in "Safe Mode with Networking" and see if you can update the definitions (May or May not Work)
