Are women attracted to men with money?

I know it's stupid to say that that's all they're after but does it make a guy more attractive in a girl's eyes or is love all that matters? If a girl was dating a guy who had nothing, no job and no cash but who loved her is that all that matters provided she loved him back?
Or if there was another guy involved who was doing quiet well, had a nice car, had his own place, employed and fancied said girl, do you think the chances of her opting for the guy with money is more likely?

Putting looks aside let's say they were equally attractive and their personalities were quite alike would money still be a factor?

SOME women are - Some are not.

Despite this, we will now have 18 pages of pointless arguments.

Depends on the girl and their motivations. There's many calculating women out there who are more concerned with security for themselves than any kind of emotional connection, and I guess if the guy's in on that, fair play to them. There's just as many, if not more, who don't give a damn how much the man has (within reason, I'm not sure how many women would feel comfortable supporting a man completely) and just want a person that works for them.

It's never once been an issue for me and I don't see it as ever being one.

Indeed with most going off topic also.

I seem to recall a study done of dating sites, based on how many messages a person got.

The only factor that had perfect correlation for men was income.

I'm sure some men are attracted to women for fame or money also. Works both ways, end of thread, next.......

Op, if you put yourself in their shoes:
You have two equally attractive females, one is rich and the other not well off.
    Would it matter to you?

Yes exactly like what's being said it really does depend on the type of girl, it could also be the other way around men have been known for being with women who pay for everything in the relationship. I think it's best to avoid talking about money while getting to know a person and once your comfortable then discuss it.

Females select mates based more on the presence of good genes (abilities, achievements) and males select mates based more on the abscene of bad genes (beauty, agreeableness).

Note the use of the word "more", both factors are important for both sexes, and of course individuals differ in taste, but there is a general trend imo.

    Euro doesn't get an 's'

This has been done to death. You know who the respective corners in this thread will involve, and the innane repetition that will be unsurprisingly churned out. It should just be locked now...

The resolution will of course be that some are not, some are. A lovely idealistic respectful representation of the fairer sex's motivations.

I personally think this is horseshit, and should read more like: Some are not, a lot more are. Women's natural gravitation towards security for herself and her children is conveniently overlooked when it suits a naive gender-equality argument though.

But my opinion is beside the point as this thread is moot.

You'd be wrong again there also, enough of derailing the thread.

The men that see hot birds with rich men are jealous. Women that see women with rich men are jealous but then again women are emotionally un-stable creatures, beautiful un-stable creatures.

So in conclusion I agree with the secod post in this thread.

No, what would matter to me more in that situation is their personality or which one I'm more emotionally attracted to/get on with.

You don't really have a good point. It's well known a lot of women care more about the money aspect then men who would rarely give it a second thought.
