Dunno if anyone has come across this problem before, but I've been wrestling with it for the last two weeks. Last week when I turned my PC on, I was faced with the 'Starting Windows' black screen for an indefinite amount of time. No matter how many times I restarted the PC, it wouldn't load past that splash screen (Win7 64bit). So I tried to boot from Safe mode, but it would stall at the line with \drivers\classpnp.sys.

I tried letting this idle for 20 mins but it would still stay at this screen. So I tried to do a startup recovery with the Win7 installation disc. When I boot from disc and come to the 'Repair Computer' screen, the screen just stalls, preventing me to select any of the repair options. At my wits end I just said feck it and did a re-install of windows on a new partition of a new HDD. Everything was fine for a couple of days, but its back to hanging on the classpnp.sys again. I have no idea what I can do, so I'm turning to the collective known as Boards to show me the way...help me...
