3DS release date rumours and Capcom compares 3DS graphical fidelity

Was just reading that other 3DS thread about people wondering where all the hype was for the device was and I thought I'd post links to the latest two developments regarding the device.

I had a chance to mess around with it at Gamescom and it really blew me away. I'll be picking up one of these day 1 for sure. The lineup looks absolutely stunning as well.

the games line up is looking good alright, all the big first party titles are there.

Those screenshots really are stupidly impressive. Can't believe it's from a handheld. I just hope it doesn't kill off 2D games though since I think something as gorgeous as Muramasa with 3D depth could be stunning.

wouldn't say it'll kill off 2D games Retr0 because the 3DS has a slider to turn down/off the 3D effect so we'll still be able to enjoy delicious 2 dimensional lovliness. I also believe the whole 3D thing will just add to the amount of 2D games available sure look at the success of NSMB DS & Wii so I'm confident of the continuation of great 2D games

Jesus. I may have to pick one of these up at some stage.

Just a shame you have to stay focused on such a small screen with graphics like that.

Not really the screen will be bigger than the DS lites screen which is very easy to live with only Stevie Wonder would have a problem with it.
