Vodafone live on MIFI

    I use these settings in E585 MIFI and getting connected but no internet message on laptop. What's wrong?

    Profile name = Vodafone live
    Connection number (cannot be edited) = *99#
    User name = dublin
    password = dublin
    Authentication = have tried NONE / PAP / CHAp
    APN - Static = live.vodafone.com
    IP Address - Dynamic

    Before you jump down my neck, I know the live settings are not ecommended by Vodafone, but some people are using them for light browsing.

    If your on unlimited as my apn is isp.vodafone and i have no user name or password, i'd give that a try

    Well, I am testing this for you today here in Belfast I confirm the following:

    Works perfectly
    APN is live.Vodafone.com
    Put in password and username but may not be necessary
    worked immediately in N95 and iPad without any issues whatsoever.
    Costs 39c per diem for 100mb

    Perfect for light usage while on holidays.

    Did you make sure that you applied these settings, saved the profile and have then chosen that profile in the web management page?

    Home now: removed SIM in ipad, placed in 585. Would not connect. Used iPad to link to Mifi, opened 192.168.1.1 and went into settings. Created new profile, no username, no authentication, just live APN and name of profile. Saved, applied, selected. Connected immediately and am using it now to send this to you.
