I know it's a little superficial to judge an actor by a TV role, but "Two and a half men" makes me want to punch Charlie Sheen in the face.

In fairness, he is playing a thinly disguised version of Charlie Sheen.

I have to say I have a new found respect for Kate Winslet. First she appears in "Extras", wherein she is acting in a holocaust movie, because according to her, the best way to guarantee an oscar is to act in a holocaust movie.

Then as if to prove her hilarious point, in real life, she wins an oscar in a holocaust(ish) movie!!!!
I thought that was brilliant as well I was surprised more people didn't comment :D
This girl. The one from 24. What's with her lumpy sullen expression?
    That's never Starbuck??!!

edit: I didn't realise she had cancer, I wonder is the 24 look a byproduct of that or good makeup

Gotta add Michelle Rodriguez to the list. Oh, so this film needs a self-righteous, sarcastic, indignant hispanic? Sure, give Michelle Rodriguez a call. She's in bloody everything these days  (Resident Evil, AVATAR, LOST..... <-- the writers killed off her character because she was such a pain in the arse to work with!)

Can't stand her face, or the stubborn, condescending, graceless characters she portrays!

Cant believe Renee Zellwegger hasnt been mentioned yet!
And yes Nicholas Cage and Keanu Reaves are ballbags too.

Not that I know them personally or anything!

Christian Bale deserves a mention too!

    Julia Robert, bland
    Gwyneth Paltrow bland
Tom Cruise bland self important and annoying
    Matt Damon bland
Christian Bale, great in American Psycho but every role since has been useless
    James Nesbitt, hideous

good actors imo: ed norton, johnny depp, brad pitt, helena bohman carter, winona ryder, al pacino, keanu reeves, arnold schwarznegger.

Jennifer Garner. I think she's in some ok movies but I just never got her appeal. She seems to be trying desperately hard to be quirky and it just never comes off for me.

Agree with a lot of the non-entities mentioned here. Keanu Reeves, Owen Wilson, Leo DiCaprio, Jenny Aniston, Adam Sandler etc (How the **** does he have a career???? ) Also happy to see the Nicolas Cage hate. I CANNOT stand him and his single expression. God, he bugs the crap out of me.

But, I haven't seen Clive Owen mentioned yet and he damn well should have been by now. Terrible, terrible one note "actor"...arrrrgghh.

God, my blood pressure's gone up!

I loved Empire's interpretation of that poster.

Waist deep in lava, Tom Hanks in The DaVinci Code hair, with an expression on his face as though he's looking for his shopping list rather than his gun (which has been swiftly photoshopped out of his right hand) :pac:

Didn't it also mention him being "trapped in a glass cage (possibly of emotion)"?

I love Nic, he's irreplacable. 8mm is really good too.

I liked her Lost character - at first, you think she's annoying as hell, but then you realise that she had to drag dozens of people through the jungle like children, so her attitude makes sense.

Elvis*.. can't stand the man, can't stand the music, can't stand the movies..

Angelina Jolie - her mouth in The Bone Collector just wound me up the wrong way, her lips were covered in foundation making them look all chapped and I just wish somone would have handed her some lip balm

Renee Zellweger - I would love to smack her scrunched up little face

Christian Bale - I just don't know where to start.. sigh..

*I know the man is dead - but he still has the power to wind me up!!..

Its slightly disconcerting to know that, if one was an actor or in the public eye for some reason, they would be hated by a number of people no matter what. Pretty sad when you think about it isn't it.

And, why in gods name is Ewan McGregor not getting more air time here. AWFUL AWFUL AWFUL actor.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 191 ✭✭nosco

Oh, and as for that **** Ricky Gervais!!

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 262 ✭✭Awful_Bliss

Nicholas Cage - I'm glad a lot of people have mentioned this guy

Seth Rogan, Ben Stiller, Will Ferrell, Jack Black, Owen Wilson, Adam Sandler (how can there be decent comedies with all those guys in them)

Jennifer Aniston, Sandra Bullock, Reese Witherspoon, Hugh Grant, Matthew McConaghey and any chick flick serial actor

Robin Williams when he does "comedies" - you're a better serious actor Robin!

Michael Cera - OK, your shy, goofy characters are getting boring now.
