    Nicolas Cage everytime. Blood boiling.
    Denzel Washington.
Morgan Freeman (controversial for you maybe) I just plain hate him.
    Gary Sinese.
    Steven Segal.
    Jennifer Lopez.
    Sandra Bullock.
    Brendan Fraiser.
    Ok i need to rest..

Tom Cruise, simply because I think he's an absolute creep and I can't watch a movie that he's in without thinking about Scientology!!

Other religions/cults don't bother you then?

Ellen Page - She just really grates me. I couldn't stand her in Inception.

    Tom Cruise - Ugh.

Oh, and Sandra Bullock. She won an Oscar for playing pretty much the same role as she always has. Except she's blonde.

+1 for Sandra Bullock, she only won the Oscar because she has friends in the Academy

Ewan McGregor in anything where he has an American accent.

Nick Cage - Does his tone of voice ever change?I just can't stand him,he bores me to death in films.

Seth Rogan - Ever played a role where he's not a "funny" stoner?

Michael Cera - Same as above but replace funny stoner with awkward teenager.

The twilight girl(Kimberly Stewart?) - Acts so awkward and uncomfortable/twitchy ALL the time!

Ice Cube and Snoop Dogg - Alright rappers, terrible actors.

Colin Farrell - Just annoys me.

Hugh Grant - This is probably my most hated one,his voice or something just annoys me and the way he acts, ugh.

Oh I forgot Adam Sandler, wtf is up with his voice when he sings?Makes me want to put the TV on mute and smash his face in!
    Such an idiot.

I never really "got" Nic Cage until i watched Bad Lieutenant.
Def my fav acting performance of last year

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LEJjjVrL1tY

+ Dustin Hoffman. And Jodie Foster. Hate the way both of them talk.
Yeah, I get the Nick Cage thing. He's frequently terrible, but when he's in the right role... If you liked Bad Lieutenant, you should check out Leaving Las Vegas.

There are so many bad actors in this thread. I don't see the point of hating them; I just ignore their movies. The kind of guy here should be decent actors who rub you up the wrong way, like the above-mentioned Jodie Foster and Dustin Hoffman, with whom I agree.

June Warm Tambourine, did you perchance used to have insomnia but not since I joined boards?

Sorry I'm not having this Cage hate either. Frequently terrible? God do people like jumping on bandwagons. He's done 10-15 good roles so I'm not sure about him being all that terrible.

And as for avoiding a movie because a certain actor is in it, bullsh*t. I would have missed out on quite a few gems if I took that approach. I've a particular dislike for Adam Sandler, but that didn't prevent me from watching Punch-Drunk Love thankfully.

Except for his performance in Blood Diamond, Leonardo DiCaprio fails to suspend my disbelief. I can't take him seriously.

Maybe when he was younger, but in the last ten years, I can only remember two great movies, and maybe two-three medicore ones at most.

    Kick-Ass
The Bad Lieutenant: Port of Call - New Orleans
    The Weather Man
    Adaptation.

I've yet to see Lord of War and a few others, but he's always guarenteed to bring you entertainment.

I don't like Russel Crowe or Uma Thurman.

Yeah, "terrible" was a poor choice of word. I meant "irritating", which is much more subjective. Don't get me wrong; I like the guy. I just understand why people don't.

EDIT: Oh, sweet zombie Jesus, let's not get into lists, or we'll be here all night arguing over whether The Weatherman's any good, and whether crap like Knowing, National Treasure, The Wicker Man remake (Not the bees!), Hell Rider, etc. are relevant.

Michelle Rodriguez... If there ever was an actor nominated for a special typecast Oscar this wench would get it!

Kate Winslet - For overacting - for picking long, boring turgid films and passing them off as intellectual and arty, for appearing entirely self-obssessed and insincere in interviews, and most of all for her ugly annoying mouth.

Hugh Grant - for being a complete knut. That about sums it up.

Gwyneth Paltrow - For winning an oscar for Shakespeare in Love.

Leonardo De Caprio - Because I've hated pretty much every film he's made in the last 5 years, I've now grown to hate him.

Bill Pullman - I'm not really sure why I hate this pr1ck, but I do. I'd love to smash his face in.

Tom Cruise - I think he's creepy and disgusting. I just can't forget about his real life personality when I watch his films, and it ruins it for me. Except for Magnolia, where his character has a similar personality. But it still doesn't stop me from wanting to cut his balls off and feeding them to him.

Robin Williams - For being mawkishly sentimental in his roles and acting, and passing it off as heart-felt emotionality. Fcuck off.

Thank you for creating this thread and letting me vent.

-edit- Just re-read title and saw it was 'for no apparent reason', in which case only Bill Pullman on my list above counts. Still, I'm leaving my reasons for the other disgusting pr1cks!.

As a matter of interest, what films (types, genres) do you like? You've covered an awful lot there.

Tobey Maguire - I find him really annoying. I didn't enjoy the Spider-Man films because of him. Can't root for him in them.
Cant stand Tobey Maguire and like yourself I didnt like the spiderman films either. Dont know what it is about him but he just pisses me off.

Keanu Reeves--- He plays basically the same character in every movie and never changes. Also his voice irritates me. He sounds like a stoned surfer in every role and I cant take him seriously.
