Airport/WIFI is frustrating me!! Any help out there?

Hello Maccers, I have a macbook and I have recently gotten wireless broadband at home. The trouble is my WIFI connection is sooooooo slow!!! and sometimes it doesn't work at all, It's pretty frustrating and I just don't have the 'tech' head for these kinds of problems. Is this a common problem with macs, i can't imagine it…

Macs connect at the same speed as every wifi device.

Go to speedtest.net and run the test while on wifi. Then wire the computer to the router with a network cable and re-run speed test. Should show if the bottleneck is the wifi or your Internet connection.

I'd say your wireless channel setting needs changing.
