JIZZLORD Memorial Thread

As many of you may know by now, a special boardsie - JIZZLORD - passed away at the age of 23 on Thursday.

I've known Colm for a fair few years now - us both being from the same hometown, it was an inevitable encounter. The most important thing I can emphasize about him is his genuine niceness - I don't think there was a bad bone in his body. He was quiet and often shy but once you got chatting to him, he'd have you in stitches :)

On boards, he was a well known poster - often if only for his epic username :P I've heard that he was quite active on the boards IRC in the past and I'm sure many remember him from there.

It's a terrible tragedy to hear of people dying so young - and this really hits home when it's someone close to you. I can only extend my deepest sympathies to Colm's family, friends and anyone who has been lucky enough to cross paths with him.

RIP Colm, you will be sorely missed by all <3

OP, can it be shared what took him? or is it a private matter?

God rest him, and my condolences to all of you who knew him.

Although the cause of death has not been officially established yet, I believe that Colm had an epilectic fit and died from complications arising from that.

I was chatting him at the beers a few years back and we were discussing our mutual affection for bears :D

Anyhow, i remember asking him what part of england he was from.. he swiftly told me he wasnt english :D He spoke with such a soft voice that it, to me kinda was like english.

Nice guy.. im kinda sickened by this..

At times like this, it really puts into perspective our petty squabbles here on Boards.ie and in broader life.

Such a tragedy at such a young age.

Such a tragedy at such a young age.

Also it shows the friendships that have come about due to boards, years ago people would think you'd be half mad to meet a stranger from the internet but a saying I heard a long time ago, "A stranger is just a friend you haven't met yet" I never knew the man but I have read the posts here, from people that have met him and others that knew him through his posts and it goes to show the impact you can have on someones life without even knowing it.
May he rest in peace and sincere condolences to Colm's family and friends.
