ya just home since Friday evening while my sister's still here, not that she could give a ****t probably, getting a lift back while she's being dropped to the airport.

If this software hasn't worked its magic by the morning it is I think :/

    work work!

/dangles potato at finish line :D
Nah couldnt hear it over the sound of me being so awesome! :p
I'm sure it was good to see her for a few seconds at least, or her to see you :pac: Free lift back? score!:D

Hope it gets sorted...thats alot of stuff to lose :(

/swaps potato for own, much larger potato hehe

Hard drive not screwed, even if that s/w doesn't work. Now tape it to a bike and cycle it here. :p

K finished my 15 hour shift or w/e it was of dissertation now, so wrecked. My word keeps converting to pdf reallllllly bady, so I need to find another way to save that, online converters seem to be better than word even :|
If there's a way to fix it, I'm sure you'll be able to :)

Good schtuff from you! Word is soooo bad...went and got myself OpenOffice instead of paying MS for their Office and its grand...and free! :D

    I'm not that bad :(

Hello people. Any of you ever got appendicitis? I'm sort of telling myself the pain has been lasting for too long, is too mild, and is too high up for it to be appendicitis. I'd rather see a doctor tomorrow morning than have to ask my dad for a lift to A&E, besides, the last time my GP felt around the area and it was below where I had (and have again) pain so... Yeah, hi.

And I did not drink that much last night. I swear!

To answer your question, LOS, older people are obsessed with DIY because they're bored. Like when you're bored on your summer holidays and your friends all decide to go away exactly the same week and you end up running out of things to do with your lesser bestfriendly friends, so you discover the fantastic world of knitting. I'm SO not talking from experience here.

    >_>

    <_<

You alright Bruna??? That pain doesn't sound good!! no no no!!
Hai veggies .o/ Today was fun!

I'm officially a Carlow IT student after handing over 1,500 euro in 50's to them this morning, but looking forward to it now wayhey! Starting on Wed morning:D Turns out a guy I've been in class with for the last 2 or so years accepted his place there so I'll know someone right off the bat haha met him down there today!

    How are you all?

Aww yay!! Woohoo! College is deadly!

Had a good time last night, went to the new Lansdowne Road stadium to see Ireland beat Andorra in soccer...it's a really impressive building and nice and pretty from the inside :)

Oh apparently I pulled some muscle in my sleep, and/or have some mild inflamation around it. Apparently the reason it hurts more after I eat is because my bowel is pressing on it :(
The doctor focused more on my weight than on the pain and symptoms though so it's not like I'm dying.
I hadn't taken painkillers in years! But... meh.

Woah I'm jealous. How can most people be so active! It was bad enough with MoN making me feel bad about not being all sporty lol
Healthy habit to keep up though =]

And, I hope MoN had a good first day.

Well you must admit that they are helping...even I'd be reluctant to take them but if it helps me eat normally, I'm all for it lol!

Running is quite easy when you get into it for a while, the only things you need are good, appropriate footwear and motivation to get outdoors and get running:)

I did have a good first day thank you:) Campus is really nice, all new looking and clean:D Canteen is a bit of a rip-off so far, think I'll bring my own lunch down with me hehe (looks like Tesco will be seeing me more often).

I only got in at 5:30 this evening, almost fell asleep on the train :p Hope you are all doing good:)

I always brought my own lunch to college, dunno how people can afford to eat in the canteen every day.

You're getting the train down and back? That's good if you can get a train, so much more comfort than a bus, I found coming back to Dublin on the bus this morning bad enough, so squishy for my legs :( and always packed. Least you've some comfort reading on the train or you could do work if you needed to.
Doing good, yummy potato in epicurean today, befriended a lovely kitty in trinity :D Just counting change now, I love counting coins :o
Plus over €17 in bus refunds scoreeeee!

It's always amazes me when I start counting my change it always works out to be a round number hmmm

I'm gonna need to start doing it aye! Their main food place is closed until things are normalised, probably Monday as final registration is on Friday afternoon for anyone who has not so far.

Have been getting train so far but looking into buses again...need to be in for 9am each day and bus gets me there for 08:50, train would get me there for same time but is like 24euro more expensive per weekly ticket...I need to think like a poor student now >.< I understand about the leg thing, happens me too sadly (damn my long-ish legs!)

Sounds like an awesome day, yum food...kitteh and finding money, score!:D
You put Rihanna to shame in that, she needs singing tips from you! :D

Oh btw folks my bestie has seen this forum randomly browsing the net, cannot use boards (doesnt know how) but is interested in a meet-up (food/drinkies) on weekend of 21st Sept as she knows hardly any veg/ns (vegan herself) and will be in Dublin then...any interest here or should I go ahead with a thread/poll as usual?

So what were you doing out there today then, just registering and being shown around?

It does kinda suck getting the bus :/ but you just have to get into a routine I guess, least when you're trying to make a bus that early, you just have to get up, you don't question it as much as when you're living nearby. The people who lived a few feet away in campus res probably had the worst attendance for us :pac:

ah get her set up on boards, she'll catch on in no time :)
The 21st is a Tuesday so do you mean during the week or the weekend following that? Sure I'm always hanging around anyway even if I might be there with my pockets hanging out, I have to stick to spending only whatever change I have on me now for the next few weeks.

    Lol @ high pitch :p

Registered Monday, just being shown around...had a short intro to college president, course/school heads etc and got some lunch :p Then back into a previous room to talk about our courses a bit and have a Q&A.

Yeah It'll take time to get used to it, but shouldnt be too bad! You done it for a while right? We were told 80% min attendance is required or we'd fail...and usually the ones living closest do end up failing hard :p

I've told her how to do it over the phone, she can't grasp it at all or the layout...and she loves Macs :pac: Oh meant like 26th or something...a Sat lol! me = fail at calendars :p

Are you sure you'll be able to do that...get by on that like? seems like its mighty hard to do! :(

My sister says it's much easier to not get lazy if you have a commuting routine, as LOS said. Then again, my sister can't really miss anything anyway.

I commuted for first year, Meath isn't far but when you take everything into account it was about a 2 hour commute each way, I'd have to get a lift with my mother to the bus stop from my house which meant being up before 7 to just roll out the door, then when I'm in town I still had to make it out to dcu. Was just a nuisance coz I had no choice of buses really, I was always dependent on a lift with my mother to and from the bus stop so it was just whatever one she was getting to work. It also didn't help that anytime I got a later bus home my lift could leave me waiting for up to an hour, which in Winter and in the middle of nowhere really wasnt fun. Basically it was lots of waiting in rain and cold and buses not turning up and lifts not turning up and then lecturers cancelling stuff without telling you which happened a hell of a lot in first year. In the end I just didn't go in a lot coz it wasn't worth my while. First year was a breeze work wise but the headache of travelling is not something I'd like to repeat ever. Plus I was only 17 which made it really suck :/

    /rant

edit: yeye I'll get by easy, I have a heap of coins to use up :)
