The place is fantastic though! Attached to the Dinn Rí a nice bar, modern but wooden furnishings, good door staff, top notch culchie talent.

Then there is a proper night club, live music venue, and large smoking area all inside the complex. It's really big, the pub is perfect for a few quiet ones and the club is attached (don't think there is a cover charge if coming in from the pub, though it's 10 euro if going straight to the club.

The Dinn Rí is quiet enough for a chat without screaming, last time I was there, music wasn't too loud in the background.

If Carlow is the location, I HIGHLY recommend the Foundry.

I love the Dinn Rí. The Foundry is also pretty cool, or at least I enjoyed it the last time I was there. Which was about four years ago I think.

Confused though, is AH beers on Sat in the Gypsy Rose or in a couple of weeks in Carlow?

Some of the Dubs weren't happy with losing the poll so organised another I think?

It wasn't that.
A couple of private forums are having a beers on the 11. Knowing that these events were happening, I thought it would be funny to suggest the AH one on the same night.
My plan backfired when I was taken seriously, and a few people who wanted to attend both events were annoyed.

That's why the 11th was dropped as the date.

Also, not a Dub.

I think a few people are just deciding to go to the Gypsy Rose on Saturday night since they don't know what's really happening with this thread!

If anyone's about they should come along!

It's really no great ceremony. Just boozing and chatting and seeing how many people you can fit in a snug really.

I'd definitely be up for a Carlow expedition at some point though.

The problem is that not everyone can attend at the same time.
I'd suggest the 25th. That way people have over 2 weeks to organise themselves and keep the date free.

Well some can and some can't. No one will ever be able to make all of them.

I think over debating these things is what kills them.

Last one we had a good turn out and we just essentially went 'F*ck it. Beers this evening. Hairy Lemon... why not?'
